BLUE CRUISE ON BODRUM-GOKOVA-BODRUM ROUTE
This western Lycian cruise extends you the opportunities for exploration into the Gulf of Gokova, a mountain and pine fringed yacht cruise area.
At the entrance of the gulf lies Bodrum with its almost Bohemian atmosphere adding both life and laughter to the many cafes, bars, discos and restaurants of this truly beautiful town. You reach to the Seven Islands and the most renowned Sedir Island where the ancient city of Kedreai is located. On its large and grained sand beach which Antonius had brought for Cleopatra from Africa, you feel being in her bath. Sailing through the English Harbor and Mersincik through the countless suprising bays, where Aegean meets Mediterranean, a small hamlet Knidos lies with its great history -the home of Aphrodite, the Goddess of beauty and love -from the 4th century BC.
We believe that a yacht cruise on this route appeals people who sails with us. The combination of this exciting Blue Cruise route and our yachts will make this cruise a real dream.
BLUE CRUISE Day 1: Boarding the yacht in Bodrum, we enjoy a welcome drink. A short briefing from the captain ensures everyone is familiar with the yacht and what we will do during the week to come. We settle in and have dinner on our yacht in the Port.
BLUE CRUISE Day 2: Our first cruise takes us to Alakisla Bay, just south of Bodrum. Here, we swim, rest or have the opportunity to visit the ruins of Byzantine village. After lunch, we cruise to Cokertme Bay - a spectacular anchorage. Dinner and overnight in Cokertme.
BLUE CRUISE Day 3: After breakfast, we depart for Tuzla, a cruise of just over one hour. In the afternoon, we cruise to our overnight anchorage on the eastern side of Degirmen Buku. This spot is known locally as English Harbor, as British torpedo boats hid here during World War II. We spend much of our time here swimming, snorkeling and windsurfing.
BLUE CRUISE Day 4: Sailing to Sedir Island (Cleopatra island), the site of ancient Cedrae. For those who wish to explore the ruins ashore and take a swim at Cleopatra beach (the sand was reputedly brought here from Africa especially for Cleopatra), there is an option to do just this. In the afternoon, we cruise to our overnight anchorage on the eastern side of Degirmen Buku. This spot is known locally as English Harbor, as British torpedo boats hid here during World War II. We spend much of our time here swimming, snorkeling and windsurfing. Dinner and overnight in Karacasogut, a small village only 25 minutes from Marmaris. For those who wish to spend a night out in Marmaris, a minibus service departs from the town centre.
BLUE CRUISE Day 5: Morning swims will become part of your daily regime! We cruise mid-morning to Ballisu Bay, a pine-forested lunch stop. The next stop will be Longoz. Dinner and overnight on board. You may take a walk through the shore by the pine forest in the night.
BLUE CRUISE Day 6: After cruising the to the northern side of the gulf, we stop for lunch and a swim at Kargili, a small bay set at the foot of a huge mountain. Continuing our journey in the afternoon, we arrive at our last stop for the day at Orak Island - another spectacular anchorage during Blue Cruises.
BLUE CRUISE Day 7: After breakfast, we sail thru Pabuc and Haremten Bays with swimming stops in crystal clear waters. Tonight we enjoy a farewell dinner together at the Bodrum Port.
BLUE CRUISE Day 8: After having breakfast in Bodrum yacht port, you will leave the yacht with best wishes to see you again at our next yacht cruise in Turkey.
