At a 24 kilometers distance from Fethiye, near the village Uzumlu, a quite interesting place – an ancient Lycian-Roman settlement Cadianda is located. It is known that Cadianda was last joined city to the Lycian Federation. In the records, this Lycian city is referred to as «Kadawanti». It is understood from the last suffix –ND, the existence of the city dates back as early as 3000 BC. The oldest ruins of Cadianda are the part of the city walls, stone tombs and several inscriptions on the stones the fifth century BC. This charming mosque was built in 1791 by the order of the Grand Vezir Cezayirli Hasan Pasha (Algerian Bald Hasan Pasha) and got its name in honor of this pasha. You may also visit the mosque if you prefer a sightseeing walk out of the marina in a day of your Turkey Yacht Charter.
